It took me and a couple friends 5 minutes to figure out why there were so many arms and where they were coming from. You have an interesting 2-way lighting scheme with the window, but your inside light needs to better clarify what is going on with all those arms. We could tell there was an embrace, but we had no idea it was between two creatures with 6 arms each. The drawing itself is well done. You have good proportions and know your musculature. You also did a decent job with a tricky perspective of the bed on that slanted angle. There is alot going on with contrasts in the image as a whole. The resting spot for my eye is on the mom's stomach, so after I've been darting my eyes trying to discern the arms, I just want to look at her tummy. The concept is nice though and despite the confusing arms and lighting, I still understood that there was an emotional embrace.
I've seen these cat-creatures with four legs and two arms before, like these two--is this "species" called Galn'ko, and is there a person who created this species/some place where I can learn more about them? Even since seeing them I've been curious, but can't seem to find anything.
And this is a gorgeous artwork by the way--I especially love the dynamic lighting you used, and the tender love expressed in the body language is amazing!
